Action Scuba - Scuba Diving in Montreal

The Action Scuba gang had an awesome time scuba diving in Tobermory this past weekend!

As you know, we love nothing better than getting out and diving, and we often travel all over the world to do it. But you can find some pretty awesome scuba diving right here at home. Whether it’s just around the corner or in Georgian Bay, we love discovering these wonderful examples of Canadian maritime history.

We packed 9 dives into 3 days, and some of the highlights included: the ghostly Arabia, the Forest City, the Niagara II, the King, the grotto / caves and many more.

We are already looking forward to a return trip next year! Stay tuned for details so you don’t miss out. We post all of our upcoming trips on our Facebook page and our website so stay in touch.

Action Scuba Montreal is now an authorised Oakley dealer, with a large selection of the latest cool sunglasses in stock.
Wondering what sunglasses and scuba have in common? We spend a lot of time on the water, on boats and on beaches pre and post dive. And we`ve learned that the right eye protection is important to prevent long term sun damage to our eyes.
We also know that when you`re running around getting all your last minute gear for trips down south, life is a lot easier if you can pick up everything you need in one place.
We`ve been big fans of Oakley for years, especially their polarised models, which make life on the dive boat much easier.
So we`ve brought our favorite sunglasses to you.
We hope you find what you need! Enjoy

Congratulations to all of our newly certified PADI Open Water, Advanced Open Water divers, PADI Underwater Photographers, and PADI Night Divers! We had a great weekend scuba diving with you!

We spent 2 fun, sun-filled days diving in the famous 1000 Islands.

Our Open Water divers completed 4 certification dives in the warm waters of Centeen Park with their instructors Sami, Andrew and Jon, and under the watchful eyes of their divemasters Tom, Greg, and George. Then, to celebrate becoming fully certified as scuba divers, they joined us on our boat Got Air for their free bonus wreck dive on the Robert Gaskin.

Our Advanced Open Water divers spent Saturday in Centeen Park fine tuning their diving skills in the areas of Underwater Navigation, Search & Recovery, and Peak Performance Buoyancy, guided by their instructors Sal & Diane, and divemasters Rob & Fraser. Then they headed out on Sunday morning on the Got Air for some fun dives on one of the area`s most well preserved shipwreck, the Kinghorn, for their Deep and Wreck adventures dives.

We also had a large group of divers complete the PADI Underwater Photographer course, with Action Scuba Course Director and accomplished photographer Gary.

Last, but not least, congratulations to all of our newly certified PADI Night Divers who completed their course on Friday night!

Another tiring but fun weekend of diving is behind us, and we are now looking forward to next week`s Rescue Diver and Wreck Diver courses!

Ever wondered what a junior Master Scuba Diver looks like? Check out the latest edition of Randy`s Rookies on CTV News Montreal to see Action Scuba`s Sam Skinner profiled for his accomplishments as a junior Master Scuba Diver.

Earning a Master Scuba Diver rating is like becoming a black belt in karate. It means as that this diver is well-rounded, experienced and a highly desirable dive buddy. In fact, the Master Scuba Diver rating should be the ultimate goal for all recreational scuba divers.

To earn the Master Scuba Diver rating a diver must:

And it`s not just for adults, as Sam shows us. Scuba divingg is a great sport for kids and teens, as it gives them goals to aim for and allows them to earn the respect of adult divers around them, especially when they become Master Scuba Divers.

You too can become a Master Scuba Diver. We offer a number of special deals to help you complete your requirements. And the best part is that you can take as long or as little time as you want to finish all the steps.

Talk to us today about following in Sam`s footsteps and becoming a Master Scuba Diver.
