The Action Scuba gang had an awesome time scuba diving in Tobermory this past weekend!
As you know, we love nothing better than getting out and diving, and we often travel all over the world to do it. But you can find some pretty awesome scuba diving right here at home. Whether it’s just around the corner or in Georgian Bay, we love discovering these wonderful examples of Canadian maritime history.
We packed 9 dives into 3 days, and some of the highlights included: the ghostly Arabia, the Forest City, the Niagara II, the King, the grotto / caves and many more.
We are already looking forward to a return trip next year! Stay tuned for details so you don’t miss out. We post all of our upcoming trips on our Facebook page and our website so stay in touch.
Congratulations to Montreal`s newest PADI Divemasters: Greg Baldock and Fraser Debney. Both of these new scuba diving professionals have worked very hard over the last few months to obtain their certification, and all of us here at Action Scuba are very proud of their accomplishment.
They are now qualified to supervise divers, help with scuba courses and in general act as leaders in the scuba diving community.
The Action Scuba Divemaster program is unique in that it is led by our 2 PADI Course Directors, similar to a PADI IDC (PADI Instructor Development Course), ensuring that once our divemasters complete their training, they already have a head start on their instructor training.
Our Divemaster program includes a wealth of real life experience working with students and instructors in a variety of courses.
We`re looking forward to congratulating a number of other Divemaster candidates, who are wrapping up their own training with Action Scuba.
Great job everyone!

Ever wondered what a junior Master Scuba Diver looks like? Check out the latest edition of Randy`s Rookies on CTV News Montreal to see Action Scuba`s Sam Skinner profiled for his accomplishments as a junior Master Scuba Diver.
Earning a Master Scuba Diver rating is like becoming a black belt in karate. It means as that this diver is well-rounded, experienced and a highly desirable dive buddy. In fact, the Master Scuba Diver rating should be the ultimate goal for all recreational scuba divers.
To earn the Master Scuba Diver rating a diver must:
And it`s not just for adults, as Sam shows us. Scuba divingg is a great sport for kids and teens, as it gives them goals to aim for and allows them to earn the respect of adult divers around them, especially when they become Master Scuba Divers.
You too can become a Master Scuba Diver. We offer a number of special deals to help you complete your requirements. And the best part is that you can take as long or as little time as you want to finish all the steps.
Talk to us today about following in Sam`s footsteps and becoming a Master Scuba Diver.

Wondering what to do with your upcoming 3 day Canada Day weekend? We have the answer! Come scuba diving with us!
We have a great weekend planned of scuba diving in the famous thousand islands, less than 2 hours from Montreal.
We have a dive charter on Saturday, Sunday and even Monday, so you can pick the dive sites that you are most interested in. Monday is one of our very popular outings to the shipwreck graveyard in Kingston. That’s a day of scuba diving not to be missed.
Click here to learn more about our dive charters, and why we promise a great day out.
Plus a huge contingent of Action Scuba instructors and dive masters will be in Brockville for one of our certification weekends. A huge group of PADI Open Water Divers will be completing their learn to dive program, as will a group of soon to be PADI Advanced Open Water divers.
Our lucky newly certified PADI Open Water divers will spend Sunday afternoon enjoying their free bonus wreck dive on the famous Robert Gaskin, after their course is complete. It’s always a highlight of the certification weekends, both for the students and for our instructors!
Why not join us for a weekend of fun? Come diving with us, and then join us at our campground at Happy Green Acres for some socializing.
See you there!
Happy St Jean Baptiste Day! Enjoy your long weekend, and be sure to get out and DIVE!
Like doing deep? Come get certified as a PADI Deep Diver this weekend with us in the scenic 1000 Islands.
Together with one of our expert instructors, you`ll dive some of the best and coolest deep dive sites in the area, including the Ash Island Barge, the Lillie Parsons and the Brockville Narrows.
You`ll learn dive techniques and skills specific to the challenges of doing repetitive deep dives, including simulated emergency decompresson stops.
This is a great course for all those who like to explore deep dive sites, who plan on becoming Divemasters or Instructors, or who are interested in pursuing training in Technical Diving.
This specialty certification also counts towards your Master Scuba Diver rating, your ultimate goal in recreational diving.

Congratulations to our very own Gary Davis for completing the First PADI Rebreather and Tec40 CCR instructor course in Canada!
Gary is now a certified rebreather instructor and can offer a wide range of recreational and technical rebreather courses right here at Action Scuba for those interested in exploring the underwater world bubble-free.
Rebreathers have been growing in popularity in recent years because they allow divers to enjoy longer dives, explore new areas and get closer to marine life because of the lack of bubbles and noisy exhaust.
Action Scuba is always at the forefront of scuba diving innovations, and we’re pleased to be one of the few dive centres in Eastern Canada offering rebreather courses in addition to the sale and service of rebreather equipment.
If you’d like to learn more about rebreather diving, drop by for a chat!
Congratulations to all of our newly certified PADI Open Water Divers this weekend.
We had lots of fun on our certification weekend in the 1000 Islands completing all of the open water dives!
And we’re pleased that all of our divers joined us for their optional free wreck dive on the Robert Gaskin post-certification. We love this wreck and we hope that everyone had as much as we did. Our instructors always enjoy leading our new divers out on this first “real” dive.
Congratulations also go out to our PADI Advanced Open Water Divers who completed their course this weekend! They completed 3 dives in our training grounds at Centeen Park, and then joined us on our boat for 2 dives on the famous 1000 Islands shipwrecks for their Deep and Wreck dives.
