Have you ever missed a dive due to equipment errors? Or encountered something not quite right with your gear, and didn`t know what to do about it? Maybe you just want to increase your comfort level with your life saving scuba diving equipment.
The Action Scuba Equipment Specialist Course is a course we think all divers should take. Like all of our scuba diving courses taught right here at our Montreal dive centre, we go beyond the minimum requirements, and have over time turned the Equipment Specialist course into one of our signature courses.
Which means that while virtually every dive shop offers a PADI speciality called Equipment Specialist, you won`t find another course like the Action Scuba workshop version. The Action Scuba Equipment Specialist Course is designed not to sell you gear, but to help you lovingly maintain and extend the life of your dive equipment investment.
Plus our course is taught by someone who not only knows the theory of dive equipment, but who also has years of dive gear repair and servicing experience. In fact, your course is similar to the first level of training given to our service technicians.
Over 3 nights and several weeks, we`ll teach you the fundamentals of dive gear maintenance and repairs so that you can manage minor emergencies and issues on site, with minimal help.
We`ll offer advice and suggestions on how to build a dive tool-kit that will be the envy of divers wherever you go.
And, more importantly, we`ll let you practice, practice, practice.
Our course is hands-on. While we strongly encourage you to own and read the PADI Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving, we don`t spend time in class presenting slides and charts. Rather, we let you play with equipment and practice repairs.
If you`re ever thinking of of a career in diving, either as a Divemaster, Instructor, dive shop staff or boat crew, we pretty much insist on this course.
Once you`ve taken the Action Scuba Equipment Specialist Course, it`s only a matter of time before you become the hero at a dive site and help someone save their dive.
